I am going to paint a bigger version of a few avocados for an upcoming auction so I am back to painting avocados in different ways. I love how these two looked so different in this light.

My first thought was that this painting reminded me of Christmas (and that was before I read the title)! I thought they were gold pears (partridge in a pear tree LOL) and beautiful. Imagine my surprise to find they were avocados (and I feel stupid too)!! What an amazing light you had with these avocados! I would have expected that dark green color to just not reflect light. A beautiful piece!
