I met this fellow at a party this summer. He provided quite a service of floor cleaning with his tongue as the guests dropped crumbs and things. He was quite eager...
I had a dog like Buddy; his name was Howie. We gave him away to someone who wanted him and I've missed him terribly ever since. I remember that happy and eager face so very well. I miss my own little buddy.
I am an artist living on an island in the pacific Northwest. For the past year I having been painting exclusively in oils, mostly on board but also some canvas. For a few years prior to this, I painted furniture with acrylics in a style reminiscent of art from Oaxaca, Mexico. For many , many years before that, I was a professional french horn player. Life circumstances made me choose to put my instrument down permanently and this blog is evidence of my creative spirit coming out in different form. I love the practice of daily painting and after all the years in classical music, daily practice feels essential to art as much as it did to music.
All paintings are sold unframed with an option for framing.
Contact me for more information or if you are interested in a painting listed in the archive. Some works are in galleries and some are still available. I try to mark what has been sold right away after a show.
So cute! I like that birdseye perspective...or should I say "plateseye"? Looks like he is willing that one crumb to fall his way.

ReplyDeleteThat's a great perspective. I love how his tongue's hanging out in anticipation of falling food.
ReplyDeleteThat "I'm happy to help with the crumbs" look is perfect!
