This is my entry for Karin Jurick's blog Different Strokes from Different Folks . The original photo was of a lot of rooftops and I cropped it a bit and added my special touch... This was fun yet challenging as I don't normally paint cityscapes. I definitely learned a lot.
Already? And you did such a great job! I like the different crop you chose and the addition of the balloon gives it a hint of whimsy. Very creative!
ReplyDeleteYou did this beautifully, Kristen. I love that touch of Kristen, that touch of whimsy with the red balloon!
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic, Kristen! YOu really got that shiny metal areas down perfectly, and that red balloon is such a nice surprise!
ReplyDeleteHi Kristen, I like your version of the challenge.
ReplyDeleteI really like the potential for a story that the red balloon introduces into the painting.
ReplyDeleteKristen, what a wonderful addition of the red balloon. What interest it adds to the painting. I can almost visualize the tears on that child's face whose balloon got away.
ReplyDeleteFabulous rich colors, and the ballon is the perfect touch!
ReplyDeleteOh your piece as such a great imagination and makes your viewer create a fabulous story. Bravo well done
