"Keeley"

"Keeley"
oil on canvas, 12"x 12"x 1"
NFS

I decided to keep working on people and portraits this week and then go back and give the brothers another whirl. I'm painting subjects that I know in order to just get better at this. I like how this one came out. I've painted my son many times but haven't managed a portrait of my daughter. She has such a great spirit. This really captures her.

  1. Keely (love her name) is gorgeous, Kristin. Since I haven't seen a photo of your husband, this may be stepping out on a limb, but I think she looks quite a bit like you. I also like how this came out and the angle is beautiful. She looks as though she is on a swing!

  2. What a precious child! You've done such a great job on this. Love the sunlight on her face and hair. She looks like she is having a great day. The freedom of your brush strokes matches her mood perfectly!
