I am a huge tree fan, especially when they are giant. This Grand Fir is in my Mom's yard and I tried to capture it by standing very close to the bottom. Somehow, like the Redwoods, nothing is quite like being there and standing close and feeling the smallness humans rarely feel.
What an awesome way of painting the tree! I tried a similar tact with a poppy field (ant's eye view) and it is rather unique, I think. I am a tree hugger from way back, so I share your joy of the trees. This is gorgeous, Kristin!
